Getting Started

Learn the basics and set up your family account

Download the MindJoy app from the App Store or Google Play, tap 'Sign Up', and follow the step-by-step guide. You'll need an email address and can add your children's profiles during setup.

Go to Settings → Children → Add Child. Enter your child's name, age, and interests. MindJoy will personalize their experience based on this information.

MindJoy is designed for children ages 4-14. Content and difficulty levels automatically adjust based on your child's age and progress.

Yes! MindJoy supports multiple parent accounts per family. Use the Family Invite feature in Settings to add another parent or guardian.

Navigate to the Missions tab, browse available mission templates by category, and assign them to your child. You can customize difficulty, deadlines, and XP rewards.

Account & Billing

Manage your subscription, payments, and account settings

MindJoy offers a free tier with basic features, a Family plan with full access for up to 5 children, and a Premium plan with AI companion Lumi and advanced analytics.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Upgrade. Choose your preferred plan and complete payment. Your new features will be available immediately.

Yes, you can cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription → Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Navigate to Settings → Subscription → Payment Method. You can update your credit card, switch to PayPal, or manage other payment options.

Missions & XP

Everything about missions, experience points, and rewards

Missions are fun, educational tasks that children complete to earn XP (experience points). They range from reading activities to creative challenges, each designed to promote learning.

XP is awarded based on mission difficulty (Easy: 10-25 XP, Medium: 25-50 XP, Hard: 50-100 XP), completion quality, and streak bonuses for consecutive days of activity.

Each level up unlocks new mission types, avatar customizations, and virtual rewards. Children also receive celebratory animations and can share achievements with family.

Yes! Premium users can create custom missions with personalized goals, photos for verification, and custom XP rewards. Perfect for household chores or family-specific activities.

Children earn coins from missions and can spend them in the virtual shop on avatar items, themes, and fun accessories. Parents can also create real-world rewards linked to coin milestones.

Geo Safety

Location tracking, safe zones, and family safety features

MindJoy uses GPS to show your child's real-time location on a family map. Location data is encrypted and only visible to authorized family members.

Safe zones are geographic areas you define (like home, school, or grandparents' house). You'll receive instant notifications when your child enters or leaves these zones.

Location accuracy depends on GPS signal strength, typically within 5-15 meters outdoors. Indoor tracking may vary based on building structure and Wi-Fi availability.

Yes, transparency is important to us. Children can see that location sharing is active. We encourage open family conversations about safety and trust.

Go to Settings → Privacy → Location Sharing. You can enable/disable tracking per child, set quiet hours, and manage which family members can view locations.

Technical Issues

Troubleshooting, app performance, and device compatibility

Try closing and reopening the app, check for updates in your app store, ensure you have a stable internet connection, and clear the app cache from Settings → Advanced → Clear Cache.

First, verify your email and password are correct. Try the 'Forgot Password' option to reset. If you use social login, ensure you're using the same provider. Contact support if issues persist.

Check your device settings to ensure MindJoy notifications are enabled. In the app, go to Settings → Notifications and verify your preferences. Restart your device if needed.

MindJoy supports iOS 15.0+, Android 8.0+, and modern web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). For the best experience, keep your device and app updated.
